Samson: The Warrior-King of Albany

I made this portrait of Samson Contampasis, the owner of “Marketplace Gallery” and the organizer of Living Walls Albany. In case you wondering about the beaver and bananas… Samson’s family imported and sold all the bananas in Albany for generations, and beaver trapping and trading was the first industry when Albany was settled. Also its just funny, and a little dirty…

Samson in progress, with the gallery dog Capone’s beautiful smiling face

Samson wheat pasted on St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Albany. A deconsecrated catholic church, the amazing building is now used for gallery shows, concerts and instillations.

A Lady and Koons

I made this piece for the gallery show at Living Walls Atlanta. Sort of an homage to Koons and many other things... colored pencil on panel

I made giant prints of the original panel so that I could wheat paste where ever I wanted. These three are in Albany NY.
